The Dining Room

With floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular views over the Sydney Opera House, The Dining Room wows guests as soon as they walk in. The menu is Modern Australian with a French twist and showcases local, seasonal produce. If you can’t decide, opt for the four- or six-course Tasting Menu, and ask the in-house sommelier to pair each course with a matching glass of wine.

The Dining Room’s latest concept sets a new standard for group dining and dessert in Sydney’s culinary scene. Offering one of the most immersive and cutting-edge experiences, ‘Table 100’ will take diners on a theatrical journey through three innovative courses. Executive Chef Etienne Karner is there to talk you through each stage of the meal, coming to your private table to personally tell you about the dishes.

For entrée, expect plates of freshly shucked Sydney rock oysters, and Kangaroo Tartare with truffle mayo – quintessential Australian fare, done exceptionally. For main, look forward to a melt-in-your-mouth poached King Trout and an incredible Duck L’Orange with celeriac puree.

The pièce de résistance is the dessert – an interactive chef’s dessert table prepared live by Pastry Chef Shlomi Palensya. This bespoke experience starts by the chef laying down a glass board over the entire table. He’ll then assemble a multitude of different elements on it with a flare of gastronomic artistry unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.

The whole experience is downright delicious, albeit a little indulgent. But treat yourself – it’s Christmas. 

Table 100 is available for one seating per night every Tuesday to Saturday, for groups of 6-8 diners, at $195 per person.
