Blending stunning sandstone interiors with modern Middle Eastern cuisine, Tayim brings a touch of the exotic to the heart of Sydney's iconic Rocks. Forming part of the boutique Harbour Rocks Hotel, this Middle Eastern gem features a mouthwatering menu designed by Israeli-born Head Chef Ran Kimelfeld (ex-Nour). Fans of Israeli cuisine are in for a treat with Ran's creative collection of showstoppers.
Look forward to an array of traditional regional dishes with a modern twist, each plate packed with flavour, character and soul. Exotic share plates (cooked traditionally on the open grill) are the stars of the show – think 18-hour lamb shoulder with white bean “Masabaha” and fire roasted eggplant with labneh emulsion – whilst smaller plates come in the form of grilled sardine Shakshuka; Wagyu beef cigars and Tayim’s signature hummus.
Kick off with one of their signature cocktails – the Desert Bloom with rose vermouth, pomegranate, rose and 42 Degrees South cuvée was particularly moreish – then work your way through a selection of smalls – the falafel, tayim pickles and wagyu cigars are a must – before tucking into your choice of slow-roast lamb; grilled rainbow trout with chermoula cream and hazelnut dukkah; grilled chicken "masahan" served with grilled bread, onion gravy and crispy leek; or chargrilled rib eye on the bone served wtih filfel chumma.
