Making its name on Sydney’s restaurant scene since it opened in November 2016, Greek restaurant 1821 has relaunched with a new direction in mind. Along with some cosmetic changes, like a brand new bar and private chef's table (don't worry the flag mural is still there), the Martin Place restaurant will now be under the culinary direction of Executive Chef George Economidis. The new food menu has shifted to focus on seafood, while the wine list is stacked with Greek drops. Expect delicious hero dishes like Snapper Fricassee with spinach, lettuce and egg-lemon sauce, and Kingfish carpaccio with yuzu kosho, lemon juice, ponzu, Greek olive oil, chilli, and cherry tomatoes.
