Perfectly positioned between two national parks and moments away from Pittwater and the incredible coastline of Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Terrey Hills has held on tight to its semi-rural lifestyle, which is one of the suburb’s most endearing features.

And with Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and Garigal National Park on its doorstep, Terrey Hills has a remote feel, yet its only moments from all the conveniences of the Northern Beaches and Forest District.

The national parks offer plenty of horse-riding tracks, hiking trails, and mountain bike riding. And with two golf courses, two tennis centres and BMX tracks within its bounds, and the boating culture of Pittwater ten minutes down the road, Terrey Hills has plenty of ways to be in the outdoors.

A small shopping strip along Booralie Road and Yulong Avenue caters well to everyday needs, and there are several restaurants and cafés scattered throughout with Terrey Hills Tavern, The Buddha Belly Restaurant and Urban Tadka being among the favourites. Terrey Hills also has a sprawling nursery and garden shops. But locals are never left wanting with the shops of St Ives and Mona Vale just down the road and homemaker stores in neighbouring Belrose.

Although many rely on their own transportation to get around, Terrey Hills is well connected with regular bus services to Chatswood, St Ives, and the Northern Beaches.

Neighbours

It’s easy to see why so many families are drawn to this neck of the woods; a semi-rural lifestyle, while only being a short drive from Sydney’s Northern Beaches and Pittwater. Parents commute to nearby hubs for work, whether it be office-based, retail or tradie. But one thing they all share in common is their love for being away from it all but still conveniently located.
