Sento Japanese Kitchen
Sento do more than just bento. Their miso is so umami it will make you an addict and their teriyaki tofu is a winner with vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Feel like takeaway? If you’re in the mood, right next door is a drive through bottle’o, so grab your tempura and pair it with a cheeky tipple. Sounds like the perfect night to us!
Warrimoo Woodfire Pizza
RestaurantSt Ives Chase
Warrimoo Woodfire restaurant is every locals’s fav pizza joint. But this isn’t just your regular slice. This humble pizza joint reaches far greater than just their St Ives postcode with their ambitious, global menu. Think Amalfi Coast, in a pizza or North Africa, in a calzone. Interesting mixes, right? That’s not even the best part. Their banquet menu features platters of pastas. Luckily there’s a minimum of 12 people for that, otherwise we’d probably devour it all ourselves.
Charmed by Hanuman Thai
It’s easy to be charmed by Hanuman Thai, with their dim lighting, hanging lights and intimate atmosphere. The food will leave you equally chuffed, with Thai favourites done well, and served generously. This little St Ives gem is sure to leave you charmed and your belly full.
Stanley St Cafe
This breakfast café just off the busy St Ives strip makes the perfect pick me up coffee. Stick around for longer than just a cuppa and you’re sure to be impressed by their Middle Eastern inspired café offering. Think labne and zaatar with your eggs, served to you in a grungy, yet relaxed space.
The Old School Trattoria
Feeling like a slice o’ pizza? Then The Old School Trattoria will serve you up a little slice of Italy. Decked out with knickknacks, and old world charm, the restaurant creates a homely feel from the moment you walk in. Trust us on this one, go hungry, because you’re going to want the antipasti, then a secondi, then some dolci.
Forget farm to table, enter Olympia’s “Sea to plate philosophy. This St Ives shop’s mantra has driven what they do for over 40 years and their fresh seafood is testament to that. Buy a fillet to take home, or let them cook one up for you, in cholesterol free oil only! We’re down! (and apparently our cholesterol levels will be too!)
Bellini's Fine Italian Food Restaurant
A cornerstone of upmarket Italian dining within the St Ives community for over 20 years, Bellini’s serves up classic Italian with generous hospitality and generous portions to boot. It’s BYO, so pick up a bottle of Pinot to pair with your puttanesca and you’ll be in for a great night.
The Copper Pan
A rustic café within the Shopping Village in St Ives with a broad menu ranging from freshly baked baguettes, pastries and Pho. Offering generous portions, their meals are sure to fill you up but leave that little space we all have for dessert, in this case that little space should be filled with their buttery almond croissant. The retrofit, industrial vibe is a trendy welcome in the area, with a stand out menu to match.
Chargrill Charlie's St Ives
Despite being a well-established chain all over Sydney with stores from the east to the west, we think that if you head up north, you might just find their best outpost in St Ives. Don’t let anyone in on the secret though, because we want all the delicious charcoal chicken to ourselves! If the secret does get out though, this one has ample tables and chairs, so we suppose there’s room for everyone.
Petit Saigon Vietnamese Restaurant
Petit Saigon, located in the St Ives Shopping Village, might as well be in ‘Nam because the food is THAT authentic. With prices to match, you can get Vietnamese noodles for less than a tenner, and that’s something we’re definitely not complaining about, especially in this neck of the woods.
Authentic Japanese sushi with quick service, perfect to drop in while you’re shopping in the St Ives village. Ask anyone who lives in the area, and they’ll sing high praise for this local sushi joint, be if for their sashimi, karaage or tempura veggies – we mean, who doesn’t love their vegetables battered and deep fried? These guys do it darn well.
