Cafes

Simmone Logue

The authority on culinary good taste, Simmone Logue’s Cammeray deli-café is an homage to impeccable food. Good luck prying your eyes away from the glass cabinet lined with treats, let alone departing the store without armfuls of edible souvenirs. But there is no need to rush, stay awhile because their café offering is seriously good.

Revered in this neck of the woods for providing the ultimate hangover cure in the form of the Good Morning Burger that features a hash brown and paprika aioli. Saving grace. The Alchemist Espresso

Provides the good folk of Cammeray with their daily dose of Gabriel coffee. Tucked away in the backstreets of Cammerat, The Alchemist does elegant café dining from breakfast through lunch, with the cheese BLT and pulled pork burger’s popular favourites. Wash it all down with a carafe of double fermented kombucha.

8 Carter Street, Cammeray

Makers Loft

More than a place to get your daily caffeine fix, here you can schedule your caffeine ingestion with the workshop classes on offer at Makers Loft, with sewing, knitting, felting, soap and candle making tutorials on offer. Munch on their all day brekkie menu or a salad as you get your craft on with friends.

Papaya Thai

Upscale Thai dining presented in what is a quintessential Thai style with salads, stir fries, curries, soups, and naturally rice noodle dishes comprise the menu. The kai hor bai toey chicken wrapped in pandan leaves a leading entrée. BYO friendly.

Infuzions

A creative offering of Asian tapas style meals with delights such as the smoked trout betal leaf, twice cooked pork belly and crispy tofu with sticky, palm sugar caramel vying for a place at your table. The salt and pepper duck is another must-try dish.

Toriciya

This intimate venue offers upmarket Japanese dining without compromising on authenticity. Tucked away off the main strip, this neighbourhood gem offers premium sake and shochu and it is recommended to be enjoyed alongside a swathe of yakitori dishes, sashimi, Wonton and Japanese beef stews.

18 Cammeray Road, Cammeray

Amici

A relaxed ristorante-pizzeria, Amici’s family warmth will have you feeling right at home as you gorge on antipasti, carpaccio de manzo and gnocci with gorgonzola before sampling their pizze ‘della casa’ – the Sorrentina is a must. You’d also be mad to leave before trying the dark chocolate torta Veneziana – utterly decadent.

Noodle Hut

Be it for the classic Thai dishes, fast service or the outdoor seating in the large courtyard, Noodle Hut is a firm favourite among the locals, especially young families. BYO friendly, this is the place to sit back and enjoy some good Thai dishes while watching the kids burn off energy.

Drink

The Public

Absolutely nailing their brief, The Public’s Mediterranean style menu and light filled interiors bring a summery vibe to the venue regardless of the weather. Stock Up

Maggios

This Italian bakery and pasticceria is adored by Maggio’s Café advocates. With an outrageous array of sweet treats from cannoli to gianduia to biscotti and pastries, you’ll drop in with the intention of buying a pane di casa and leave with enough sweets to feed an army.

463 Miller Street, Cammeray

The Wise Chook

When cooking just isn’t going to happen, pick up a preservative and gluten free roast chicken from The Wise Chook along with their slow roast vegetable medley and a family serve of the sweet potato chips (trust us, they’re phenomenal).

447 Miller Street, Cammeray

Victoire

You will never go wrong with a baguette pulled straight from the Victoire oven. Their widely adored sourdoughs and painfully crisp pastries will leave the carbohydrate floozies weak at the knees. The sausage rolls are an all-out hit, as is the croissants. Our advice, pop in early so as to not be disappointed.
