MOUNT WAVERLEY

GET TO KNOW
THE AREA

Lush, green and convenient, Mount Waverley is a dream for families – spacious homes, sprawling parkland and top-rated schools. Throw in a winning sports scene, prestigious universities and fashionable shopping centres into the mix, and you too will quickly see why Mount Waverley is at the top of its game.

Lifestyle

In Melbourne’s south-east, Mount Waverley is the king of convenience. A desirable location combined with an array of facilities that cater well to growing families and sports lovers alike.

In the middle of Mount Waverley is the Mount Waverley Village Shopping Centre. It’s overflowing with storefronts that service day-to-day needs, while in Mount Waverley’s south-west, Pinewood Shopping Centre amps it up with a cinema complex and a selection of cafés and restaurants.

But with the likes of Glen Waverley and Chadstone as neighbours, locals are spoilt when it comes to boutiques and big-brand names in fashion and homewares. Being such a large suburb, Mount Waverley has plenty of room to spread out. There are oversized blocks with homes to match to plentiful parks and recreation options, be it bushwalking at Damper Creek or kicking the ball around at Pinewood Reserve.

Mount Waverley also boasts an array of schools (seven primary schools to be exact), a well-connected train and bus network, and Monash University and Deakin University in neighbouring suburbs.

It’s easy to see why Mount Waverley ranks highly when it comes to family-friendly living.

Neighbours

Mount Waverley has long been attracting families in droves, thanks to the quality schools, recreation facilities, transport links and the large homes. Once in, locals tend to stay put, with older residents opting to stay in their family homes long after the kids have moved on.

LOCATION IS KING

Although Mount Waverley has a lot to boast about when it comes to suburban living, it’s also well-positioned to tap into the best of its neighbours, be it fashionable Chadstone Shopping Centre, the prestigious Monash University or Glen Waverley’s foodie hub.

SPORTY PARADISE

Sport-obsessed Mount Waverley loves to play in the great outdoors, especially in the playing fields that are home to two local AFL clubs. Year-round, the facilities are put to good use through netball, soccer, cricket, and tennis. For a slower pace, head to the Riversdale Golf Club and walking trails.
