Good Good Burgers 

Honestly, the name is an undersell - Good Good Burgers are beyond great, great! Head to this charming 30-seat diner in Maidstone for some of the best hand-pressed burgers in Melbourne. Retro vibes, milkshakes, boozy sips and friendly service elevate the small space, and pickles and sauces are made in-house, so you just know that the passion for a good burger is real here.

Choose wisely from a menu that taps into a lot of the usual suspects, albeit taken to delicious new heights. Grass-fed double beef patties get sandwiched between a golden milk bun, with cheese dripping out the sides and the freshest tomatoes, pickles and butter lettuce adding both texture and balance. If you're a fried chicken fan, their classic chicken includes a dense potato roll with a super crunchy fried piece of chicken and a cheese and pepper mayo. 

Sitchu Tip: Try Good Good Burgers very own beer on tap; Good Good Draft and Pacific Ale were developed in collaboration with a local brewery just down the road in Avondale Heights. Cheers to that!

The infamous double cheeseburger at Levi is a must-try. A little pillar of the local Murrumbeena community, Levi offers a delectable menu of lunch favourites alongside a vibrant atmosphere. 

Their double cheeseburger is served on a super soft potato bun with two thin smashed and charred patties, American cheese, finely diced fried onion, shredded lettuce, thinly shaved pickles and a house made herb mayo with a side of fries. Trust us when we say you'll never experience anything better!

Burger Bae 

Bayside has a best burger in Melbourne contender with Burger Bae. Located in Sandringham, this little pop of colour destination is a must for smashed beef patty burgers oozing with cheddar and loaded up with lettuce, grilled onions, pickles, tomato and housemade sauce on a toasted milk bun.

Bar Margaux

If you want a burger that's like McDonald's, but ridiculously fresh and bursting full of flavoursome goodness, a drive out to Rizin's Smash Burgers in Dandenong is a must. The Rizin's Classic Smash is a seriously good, as is the spicy version that will have you hooked the moment you sink your teeth into it. And while they may be most known for their eponymous smash burgers, don't look past their fried chicken. It's straight up one of the juiciest burgers in Melbourne. All with a side of curly fries? Beers and burgers from a carriage hoisted five storeys onto a Collingwood rooftop – Easey’s is just about the most Melbourne place ever. Novelty factor aside, this grungy charmer is known for dishing up hot and juicy burgers jampacked with all your favourite flavour combos - think double (or triple) smashed beef, bacon, American cheese, aioli, BBQ sauce and fried crispy bits or pulled pork, house slaw, BBQ sauce and pickles. Hands down the hero is Sonny's Burger with spicy deep-fried chicken, zesty slaw and whole egg mayo. Still hungry? Opt for the fries, biscuits'n'gravy or super creamy mac‘n’cheese on the side for the true Sonny’s experience.

Ready to rescue you from your next hangover, Burger Road's American-style snacks and burgers deliver big on size and substance.
