The Bars, Cafés & Restaurants Reopening in Bayside

Dine out at your favourite local spots

After months of our own cooking and boxed takeaways, we can’t wait to have our coffees in ceramic cups, our food served sizzling hot, and our cocktails shaken fresh by the pros. With restrictions easing from the start of June, now is the time to get out there and support your favourite restaurants, cafés and bars as they reopen for business – and enjoy a delicious meal without worrying about washing up.

10 Greek Plates

What better way to re-enter dine-in life than a Greek feast shared with your nearest and dearest? Dive in at Brighton’s 10 Greek Plates, and fill the table with silky dips, sizzling saganaki, seafood, souvlaki and fresh salads. All that’s left to do is grab a couple of Hellenic lagers and toast to the return of restaurants.

136/138 Martin Street, Brighton

Sonder

From 4th June Sonder will start welcoming punters, signalling a return to nightlife in this sleepy part of town. The wide modern space is an inviting winter prospect with its warm lighting and cosy banquettes, while the outdoor courtyard is spruced up with a tiki bar and fairy lights. Craft beers on tap are joined by classic cocktails and a Australian-heavy wine list, while a snappy menu of burgers, pizzas and grazing boards keep hunger at bay.

438 Centre Road, Bentleigh

Good Times Milk Bar

Everyone's fave local milk bar is back open for dine-in business. At Good Times Milk Bar you can expect wholesome eats and quality coffee brews.

83 Tucker Road, Bentleigh

True South

With winter well and truly underway, warming up with some sizzling Argentinian barbecue is a pretty enticing option. True South is open for dine in once again, meaning you can dig into smoky grilled meats, fresh ceviches and sugar dusted churros, all washed down with a freshly shaken margarita.

298 Beach Road, Black Rock

Little Tommy Tucker

Busy parents will be glad to know that Little Tommy Tucker is back for lattes and lunch. The Bentleigh favourite happily caters to families, with plenty of space for prams and highchairs, plus kid-friendly meals like Vegemite popcorn mac'n'cheese and cookies and cream hotcakes. The grownups will just be happy that someone else is taking care of the washing up, for once.

32 Centre Road, Bentleigh

Aromi

Contemporary Italian restaurant Aromi is open, and we can smell the house baked focaccia wafting out their doors already. They make everything in house, from their pasta to the liqueurs in their aromatic cocktails, so book a table to indulge in Mediterranean wines and razor sharp modern Italian food.
