Outdoor activities here are rife; the sub-tropical climate makes it a breeze for nature-loving locals and holidaymakers alike, who come in search of local wildlife and scenic adventure. There are infinite coastlines to be explored and trails to be tramped, whether by foot, by kayak or boat, but Noosa National Park is a must. Head here for lush wildlife walks, secluded swimming spots, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot a few whales and wild dolphins along the way. 

At the heart of the community lies iconic Hastings Street – a gourmet food and shopping hub with endless al fresco eateries, independent boutiques and stylish bars, where sun-seeking holidaymakers mingle with off-duty locals. As a tourist hotspot, Noosa Heads tends to maintain a somewhat transient population – the locals here consist mainly of families, affluent retirees and young singles. But at the very heart of the local community, there’s a strong sense of unity where the locals roll their up their sleeves and muck together to preserve the authenticity of this beloved seaside town.

Undoubtedly the single biggest drawcard of the region is Noosa’s stretch of beautiful coastline, and the bounty of beaches that reel in international surfers and beach lovers alike. Whilst scattered surf breaks host festivals and competitions year-round, the calm, patrolled Laguna Bay comes teeming with  young and old beachgoers, who come in search of a refreshing dip and soft sand underfoot.
