the area

Palm Beach is a narrow stretch of peaceful suburbia that has an inherent feeling of being on holiday all year round. With a more relaxed atmosphere than its larger northern neighbours, Palm Beach replaces busy nightclubs with beloved life saving clubs, creating a neighbourhood that epitomises beachside living

Lifestyle

Affectionately known as “Palmy”, Palm Beach exudes a small town charm where you know your neighbours by name, the parks are an extension of your backyard and where and the surf clubs are scheduled into the weekly routine.

The long expanse of pristine beach is the main attraction of Palm Beach. Where locals immerse themselves in the surf, enjoy some off-leash playtime with their dogs or walk along the sand from one end to the other, with the Burleigh Heads National Park as the destination.

Catering for the adventurous types, Palm Beach is home to sought-after sites for scuba diving and snorkelling, where you can experience Queensland’s coral reef and sea creatures first hand.

On weekends outdoor venues hum with activity, with favourites such as Laguna Park crawling with families as they enjoy a picnic, play on the adventure playground or simply take in the picturesque waterside views. While weekly farmers markets at the local high school see a hive of activity, residents and visitors come together for regular public events such as movies under the stars or live comedy gigs.

It’s no secret that Palm Beach locals are foodies at heart. In addition to the multitude of surf life saving clubs, the main drag of Gold Coast Highway and its surrounding streets feature a scattering of trend setting boutique bars, restaurants and cafes, serving up locally sourced produce and top notch coffee.
