Freshly baked daily pastries are on offer on top of a selection of Japanese-fusion brunch dishes. The Chashu Mashu is their take on the classic bacon and egg and includes braised pork belly, egg salad, pork floss, furikake, red chilli yuzu kosho mayo, Quinby's chilli honey, chives and shokupan. Out of this world.

Our favourite is the Scondo Breakfast – a bowl of boiled eggs, cultured butter, cheddar, pear and a pot of apple and quince jam that pairs well with a Mecca coffee.

Its vintage-chic feel is instantly welcoming, and the menu boasts comforting classics, like bacon and egg rolls and cinnamon chia porridge with stewed rhubarb and honey. When lunchtime rolls around, the lamb shwarma, warm salad, and – if you’re feeling indulgent – cheeseburger really hit the spot.
