One of our favourite things about Talulah is that they’re open from 6:30am and they have a cocktail list, because it’s never too early for a bloody mary, a passionfruit mimosa or a gin iced tea. Talulah bills itself as a fine dining breakfast and lunch spot and prides itself on its ever-evolving seasonal menu. Everything here is great but the best breakfast dish is their char siu benedict with char siu glazed bacon, perfectly poached eggs, rosti, miso hollandaise, kim-chi salad and spicy togarashi granola

Their ingredients are largely sourced from local providers with eggs coming from Just Been Laid and bread coming from Newcastle’s Baked Uprising. They serve homemade gelato with rotating flavours (because it’s never too early for ice cream) and they also have an elixir tea which, with winter coming up, we certainly wouldn’t sneeze at! The best dish at Estabar? You can’t go past the cultured buckwheat crepes with cinnamon apple, poached pear, sweet labneh, seasonal fruit, granola and maple syrup.
