The town itself only has a petrol station, a small post office and a handful of eateries, including the historic Crafers Hotel. However, it’s a short five-minute drive to nearby Stirling, where you’ll find plenty of great cafés, supermarkets, banks and other basic services, as well as a great calendar of community events and activities. For those who need to commute to the city, the Crafers Park ’n’ Ride provides convenient access via bus while a short drive down the expressway will have you in the heart of Adelaide in under 15 minutes.

Always a few degrees cooler than the city, the streets of Crafers are lined with native and European trees which provide a shaded canopy and shelter from the summer heat. During the cooler months, locals get on with life despite foggy conditions, often ending the day in front of a roaring fire with a glass or two of wine from the Adelaide Hills.

Neighbours

Popular with Adelaide’s wealthy and elite, Crafers is home to many young families, successful businesspeople and artists who enjoy the area’s tranquillity, laid-back lifestyle and proximity to the city.
